French air controllers are called for strike for this wednesday 8 and thursday 9 of April, with a result of a 40% of the previewed flights of wednesday cancelled, as informed by the DGAC.
This strike involves stops on the 8,9,16,18,29th of April and the 2nd of may. Travelers are recommended to keep in touch with their airlines if flying any of these days in order to check if there is any change on their flights.
The SNCTA cancelled their first call to strike, previously fixed for the 24th of May, due to the accident of the Germanwings flight at the French Alps.
The collective wants to review the terms of their working conditions, mainly on the issue of the top age to be operative, as France has the oldest retirement age comparing to the rest of european cotrollers.
