The new routes will be operated with an Airbus 320 with capacity for 180 passengers
The Alicante-Elche airport starteed two new routes to Edinburgh and Zurich last thursday, and the new flights to Manchester and Milan has been added last friday. As reported by AENA, this four routes will be operated by the Spanish Vueling with the Airbus 320 with a capacity for 180 passengers.
The two new links with the United Kingdom, both in the case of Edinburgh –with flights on Tuesdays, Thursdays and sundays–, as in Manchester –with flights on Tuesdays, Fridays and sundays–, ” shows the interest of the British market for Alicante and all its area of influence.”
In this regard, the request for ‘slots’ with Britain for the summer season has increased a N 19.7%. It has also highlighted the increase of connections to the Italian market, as well as this new route to Milan-Malpensa, with flights on Mondays and Fridays, Alicante-Elche also connects to Milan-Bergamo, Bologna, Rome and Venice.
As for the new route to Zurich, which will operate on Mondays and Thursdays, adds to the supply links with Switzerland because the Alicante airport also has connections to Basel and Geneva.
