Ryanair

The Irish airline Ryanair launched last October 16 its schedule for 2016´s high season, which begins next April.

Ryanair will offer five new routes: Copenhagen, Rome, Newcastle, Hamburg and Berlin, with which will add a total of 48 destinations in the season from April to November.

The company expects to reach 3.5 million passengers per year with 264 weekly flights that will offer from the Alicante-Elche Airport, which means a growth of the 15%, demonstrating the great weight of Alicante Airport for low-cost airlines.

In addition to these new routes, Ryanair will reinforce destinations already offered such as Milan, Leeds, Krakow, Manchester, Edinburgh and Gdansk.

Ryanair currently operates about 1,600 daily flights daily from its 75 base airports with a fleet of over 300 Boeing 737-800, linking 195 destinations in over 30 countries. The airline has also announced the purchase of more than 280 Boeing 737 which will allow, according to his sources, reduce fares and increase the number of passengers by about 60% in 2024.
