After the success of the bid from Vueling to Rome and Barcelona, the IAG airline group is betting to Paris to continue its growing.
As noted by the president of the company, Vueling has been operating since long in France, but they see that this country still has many possibilities for development.
The airlines are putting their eyes on France for its attractive as destination and the proof is the growth of Paris two main airports, Charles de Gaulle and Orly, which grew between January and August a 2.2%, according to Aeroports de Paris. In addition, Paris is one of the connections with more increase from Spain, ranking the second after London.
Vueling will follow the model of Rome, where opened base on 2012 and is starting getting results now, ranking 4th in Italy with a market share of 5% and where they plan to add more destinations and aircrafts.
Vueling´s plans for medium-term strategy is betting on countries like Britain and Germany to gain market share, since the possibilities of growth in Spain are minor. Vueling expects to reach its record summer destinations with 400 routes.
